Proper AMG power!

Engine size doesn't matter that much ... it's the power that counts. The Jag's V6 has twin turbos and gives 542 bhp and 645 Nm.

As an older car the Jag could conceivably be a bit lighter - no side impact beams etc.

In a short drag like that the gearing also comes in to it.

A couple of things to note there! The Zonda they are using is not the lighter and more powerful 'F' version. That adds about 60bhp and sheds 100kgs. The two cars in the film clip would be about the same weight.
Secondly the XJ220 really is a quick car! Although the official figures give the 0-60 as 3.6secs I have done it in 3.2! I did get plenty of practice as one of the sign off tests was continous 0-100-0 start/stops to test the brakes and clutch.
We continued until both driver and passenger were physically sick!
Oddly my quickest 0-60 felt slow and seemed to bog the engine down, however it had no wheelspin and the stopwatch and Daytron equipment didn't lie!:D

I LOVE the XJ220 my favourite car ever. If I won £200 million and could only buy one car, it would be the XJ220 without a doubt.
