R230 seat won't move back or forward

Hi all

I have a 2005 SL, all was great until yesterday when the seat stopped moving back or forward - the seat pad extension also moves but not all the way..... All other functions work as they should.

I've had a good search on the forums and the pushing buttons to move fully forward doesn't work, as the seat just won't go forward or backward.

Checked the track and fuses, all ok. I can hear the relay click once when I press either back or forward, then it clicks again a few seconds later, but still won't budge.

I'm happy to take the base off to check the motors, but does anyone have a guide to doso, or any other suggestions

So I've been fiddling under the seat, unplugged the seats and they just worked
