Ready steady Queue

Well we have now got the loonies queuing at Morrisons the other two filling stations have closed,as I said before give it to Tuesday and then things will be getting back to normal,as it is now if you need to drive somewhere you need to cal up filling stations on your sat nav a plot a route that misses them, otherwise you are caught in traffic jams.

Hi hope that you are correct in your assumption

My car is parked at Newcastle Airport with a full tank of fuel, collect it in a week and a half, drive it home, maybe do 200 miles if I'm lucky, including the drive home and back, then park it back in the airport carpark😁

Another reason not to work in the UK 🤣

I hope the fuel situation does recover quickly but who amongst us is going to let the car go right down to reserve this side of Christmas. If everyone on average runs with 20L extra fuel in the tank, then given there are nearly 40 million vehicles, we have effectively created a national storage of 800 million litres.

What a shame we couldn't have done that with gas. But hang on, if you can put petrol in a plastic bag why not gas???

What if you were normal though?

Mr wife and 2 kids.

I would think motorway service stations will get priority deliveries to keep them open. So if you have reasonable access to a motorway just fill up there.

Heston no fuel, Beaconsfield no diesel, at 14:00 today. I get the impression that London and the South-East are worst affected, so presumably more of the stupidest sheep live down here than in other parts of the country.

Does anybody use these in normal times?

All the regular motorway users I know don't go near them unless they get caught out - and even then it's just a top up to get you to the next 'proper' filling station.

Any time I pass they tend to be fairly quiet.

I use them all the time, but with bunker cards so the pump price doesn't matter to me. I know the prices are pretty high but if you need fuel you need fuel.

Wouldn't surprise me.
However, I had hoped that a positive by product of the current situation would mean we got a quieter Saturday night in these here parts but no, somehow the Snap Crackle and Pop mob with their ridiculously exaggerated downshift blips and Forth of July engine maps obviously managed to get enough go juice to rip up and down the local dual carriage way until the early hours of Sunday as usual.

Okay, own up W221 owners

The odd drop of 95 Octane won't do it any harm, surely?
