after sending my car for a car wash today......found that my rear boot could not be open from the inside of the car and also via the remote....btw...my car battery is not flat...any suggestions?

Has it been 'double locked'?

if you double lock the boot, it can only be opened by key and not by remote, boot release or even the valet key.

dun think is double locked....could it be a fuse problem?

Follow the emeregncy key release procedure as state din the manual...

What model/year car is it?

Insert the flat key in the boot keyhole and turn the flat metal key to the first notch and the boot should manually open. Afterwards, firmly shut the boot lid and all should be fine...

did that as mentioned ..... but still the same problem presists

the car is a clk 200 kompressor year 2000

problem solved!...suddenly everything is alright....right after sending it to the local dealers....guess my boot was frightened....hehehe

I know how you feel my boot 'locked' itself once, no amount of key turning helped, a friend finally noticed that one side was ever so slightly higher than the other, meaning that somehow i hadnt shut it properly so i pressed down on the raised side of the boot and hey presto when i tried opoening it the thing opened!

i think that wat happened....:)

Check the rubber things on the underside of the bootlid, they're supposed to even out the panel gaps but if they're not adjusted correctly then they probably cause problems like you have described.

On W203 saloon there are 2* black plastic screw heads/rivets that are adjustable and fixed on the underside of the actual bootlid and when the boot lid is closed they rest between the base of the bottom of the bootlid and the bumper and are related to the adjustment/gap and if not correctly adjusted/aligned can cause the bootlid to seize. Not sure about W208 but may be worthwhill ooking into perhps...

did that....it was a little of ....hope that solved my boot problem though:)
