Recommended after market brand of brake discs & pads

Strangely I've just priced up some Brembo for a couple of cars on Autodoc.
Never used Autodoc before so a bit of an unknown for me.

I have used Autodoc many times now, the parts come from Germany and take about a week to be delivered.

No probs here with Autodoc, many years now. And for a small fee on the checkout page they will take the stuff back no questions asked.

The prices do fluctuate , I think the euro exchange rate has a bearing too

I have used Mr Auto for pads and discs and been happy with price and delivery times. They did however manage to only send one disc, but sorted it out very quickly without any question.

I emailed MB Southend with my VIN no for disk and pad prices for my late 2016 S205 C250d AMG line wagon

I made an enquiry to MB Southend and was pleasantly surprised.

they could not confirm dimensions, but were able to quote for correct F&R disks, pads and sensors matched against the VIN

"The guy said they never give a price for discs only as they only change discs and pads together. When I asked why they changed the pads without the discs he didn't have an answer"

I asked my local indie this a few months ago, he told me new pads had to be fitted with new discs as part of the disc manufacturers warranty.

Made sense to me.

They should be able to sell disks without pads.
what if someone wanted to buy fit disks with a set of (new) high performance) pads?
i agree it is good practice to fit new pads to new disks, and it is ok to fit new pads to used disks

I have used Autodoc a few times, they were Ok , just do not be in a hurry for the parts, that seem to take a while. Not ages just a bit slower than we are used to theses days.

Of course they're able to. It's not law. Up to you if you want the warranty though.

I changed the rear pads on my c250 with brembo , took about an hour, pads were something like £36 . Mercedes dealer wanted £212 . Some on here think that's reasonable??

Mercedes dealer wanted £212
That’s got to be including the labour though? 1hr at main dealer prices
