Remote Start System - Is It Possible On W202

Is it possible to fit an after-market remote start alarm system to my W202? The current key fob is atrocious and I have to be right next to the car for it to work and also i'd like to have a remote start on it if possible. If so which is the best one for my W202 and which ones should I avoid?

Are you sure the RF connection is working with the key, sounds like it works only via IR. Do you need to point the key to the sensor (normally on the door handle)?

A W202 must have an intelligent key, if you could build a remote starter, you would know how to steal other's cars. Not good for the environment too.

Also it is possible to have this alarm fitted. Clifford do one and Ive seen it fitted to a 202.

Yep Clifford is perhaps the best brand out there for aftermarket alarms. They do make alarm systems with remote start whilst the car is still locked, perfect for the winter days.

i wonder if they can bring on the heated seats remotely too

So it means there is no intelligent key on a W202? Or how do they start the car? I understand the remote door locks and the alarm. Sorry but I don't remember how W202 looks like even if I've had one a long time ago.
