2011 CLC 220cdi 2004 CLK 320 cabriolet, R230 SL500, A class Sport AMG now arrived.
Some unmentionable has hit and scuffed my rear bumper in a car park but I think it might be solveable with a careful home aerosol repair job.
To do this properly I need to remove the chrome trim strip.
Before I start to try to prise it off any pointers ?

No one with any input on this or am I being impatient ?

you wont get it out without breaking it... You can buy replacements, not that dear.

Thanks Jay, do I just lever it off with a thin flat blade ?
Is it glued on or clipped ?

Think you are being impatient, but also think that the trim you are talking about is just pressed in (clipped - but no clips!) so is released by gently prising it out at one end and then just pull 'gently' if you want to try and reuse it.

clipped in pretty well... what ill do is lift up one corner to 90 degrees using a pen knife and then grab it with pliers and pull the rest off... It will of course be ruined but thats the best way to do it so as not to mark the paintwork.
