Help!
Like an idiot crazy: ), I tried fitting the antenna lead to the rear socket of my new APS 30 head unit to make sure it fitted correctly before I installed it all tomorrow. Now I can't get the bu**er out
The plug has 2 plastic clips which I would assume just squeeze inwards to release the plug. However, no matter how hard I pull (within reason - I don't want to damage the socket on the back of the head unit ) it just doesn't want to release. There seems to be about 120 degrees of 'twist' on the plug, but it is simply not pulling out regardless of which position it's in.
If I were to place the sensor end under the instrument cluster (which seems to be the preferred way on here) then I could have left the entire lead where it is. However, I didn't really fancy having the cluster out, so intended running the lead within the passenger footwell and then up the front pillar, fixing the sensor to the top of the windscreen on the passenger side. However, by leaving it attached to the head unit, it will be impossible to feed it through as the sensor itself is quite big.
Anyone got any ideas...............please
Cheers,
Alex
