Removing a stubborn Oil filter !

Returning to the original topic OIL FILTER removal you could have used this pukka MB FILTER WRENCH part no 103 589 02 09 00. I used it on the old canister filters on my 190s and it works fine on the plastic cap of the cartridge filter on my 95 E220. Wasnt very expensive either as I recall :) :)

Yes, I have one of those myself. Very handy, correct tool, genuine MB part and as you say it wasn't very expensive either.

Bit late for poor Peter now, but a useful tool for most current MBs :)

Cheers,

Will

That would do the trick nicely  I just did not have time to get one on saturday...

You could just have bought these for £6.99 and done the job in 5mins.

I went and bought one of these on the above recommendation - Janner said it would do the job instead of what Peter used.

Well, it's rubbish. I have tried trimming all sorts of bushes in the garden and it doesn't make an impression on even the thinnest twigs. :p

Hilarious ! Peter, when you prune trees, do you use a wrench ? :D

Patrick, lay off a new W124 owner a bit, he is still a virgin and has to get down and dirty first :D :D
