replacing pipe on self levelling

Cunifer for brake and fuel lines, genuine MB lines for the SLS, I wanted those in steel and pre-formed. They are all coated in so much Waxoyl and Dynax, I can't see them ever rusting again.

External pipe bending springs are fun, I didn't really believe they would work, but they do, and they seem to be better than those cheap pipe bending tools which flatten the pipe on the bend.
 
General question - To avoid all the messing around could you not have sections made using flexible hydraulic hose and suitable end connectors?? I know its not the "proper" solution but would be considerably cheaper.

EDIT thanks for the pics too - they show perfectly what I meant in my earlier posts about being over engineered.

Hi Richard, Sounds like a good plan. I will update you all once I get around to it.

Matt, the hydraulic place that I went to for the steel pipe tried to sell me some flexible hose with some end connectors and said that it was designed to work at higher pressures than the steel pipe. My concerns were whether it would be deemed acceptable for the MOT and as they had seen what was there before, I could just see them being a bit funny about it, but also how resistant it would be to stones flying up and any scraping from humps etc. In theory I don't think there is a problem, but erred on the side of caution and stuck with a steel pipe.

The compression joints were pretty good and easy to put on. I was advised that the brassy inserts that go inside the tube were only if the pipe was of a flexible type, so I didn't use those bits. It all seems to have worked okay without them, but have kept just in case.

Thanks for all your help and advice and I will take a few pictures of the "big job".
