Rust issue on my CL203 (W203 Coupe)/ C Class Sports Coupe

Hi guys,

Have been the proud owner of my second ever car (I'm 21), a Mercedes C180K Sport Coupe in Jasper Blue for 10 months now and love it. However recently it has started to corrode on both front wheel arches and I think my only option now is to replace both front wings. I just wondered if you guys have any advice for me regarding rust, and also wondered if you know roughly how much i'd have to pay to have both wings replaced and the paint matched etc? Other than that there isn't a single blemish on the car, the paint is immaculate. Also wondered if you think Mercedes would contribute towards the repairs, with the Mobilo 30 year warranty etc, and it has been serviced at a main dealer for a majority of its life so far, according to the service history.

Any help on the matter or advice would be greatly appreciated

How old is the car?
You could approach Mercedes under their goodwill policy if it is less than 8 years old. But be aware that the 30 year warranty covers perforation from the inside of the panel and not rust on the outside.

It's a 2003 car, so not sure where I would stand with it. Do you think a visit to my local dealer would be worth trying? I use an approved Merc specialist as well so could always ask their opinion. To be honest I just really want to know a rough idea of how much it'll cost me to repair. I don't want to treat the rust as that is pretty pointless as the rust will just return, so best to replace the panels methinks.

Your cars too old, dealer will not be interested in helping.

I just sold on a 2003 cl203 this year. Only rust prob was where car had been hit in past- had to have this resprayed every 4 yrs or so
