S211 - how do I reset the trip meter?

Hi 211 owners

A quick COMAND question (well I think this is a COMAND function - but maybe not).

Can anyone advise me how to re-set the computer read out in the speedo - the one that gives you driving time/miles/mpg?

I read the manual and there was an option to "reset everything" using the "reset button but (a) I don't want to reset everything and (b) I ran out of time before I could figure out where the actual reset button is.

BTW for those of you who think I'm too lazy to read the manual I've figured out quite a few thing recently including the ambient lighting and how to get the steering wheel to retract automatically when I take the key out - another reason not to accidentally reset all the setting to factory spec....

No - you don't have to reset everything.

Make sure you're looking at the 'After Start' display and press the reset button for a second or so. This just resets this display. If you want to reset the 'After Reset' display, you have to do the same thing, but looking at that display instead.

The little protrusion on the left-most lower corner of the instrument cluster. It looks like any normal mileage reset button!

Aha - I know the one. For some reason I though that it was to adjust the clock. Which is my next question lol
