S211 sat nav disk update??

Hi all
I have a S211 320cdi AG with command and im looking to update the sat nav disk as its running the original one from manufacture in 2004.(3.0 A 211 827 52 59).

I want to replace with V12.0 A 211 827 39 65 which i believe is the latest version..

The question i am getting at is.

Is this the only disk needed to update and does it include any firmware updates needed for the command system to utilise ETA etc.. as i presume that as its still running such an old disk at the moment no updates have been done since 2004...

Firmware update for the nav processor is on the map disc.

You need a seperate firmware update disc for the Comand unit to get ETA etc which you can download from: Daimler AG - Service & Parts net You want 'COMAND service update – (W 211 589 13 22 00) for model series 211'

Be very carefull with the download and in particular the update process of the Comand head unit, I had lots of problems and my head unit refused to recognise the NAV system after the update After several attempts and guidance from the guys at Comandonline it finally came back to life, it was a very nervous couple of hours.
