Maybe it's not relevant, but are the tyres inflated to the PSI/bar figures indicated on the fuel filler flap?

I bought the car with full service history, as advertised, but have since found out,through checking, that this was not the case.

Surely if it's not as advertised then you have a pretty strong case for a refund?

I don't think you should be in a position where the seller claims to be chasing the trader for compensation, which they will then pass on to you.

I know you bought it with no warranty, but I feel you're getting a tough break here.

Hope you get a decent resolution either way.
