SBC Hold works how exactly?

b. If you release the pedal the car moves...not the intention. If you retain light pressure on the pedal then 'pulse' it once the car is stationary then the hold facility activates. I find the force of the 'pulse' can be quite light, but if it is done slowly then it is less likley to operate.
It's just a familiarity thing;)

The "SBCH" text only appears at the very bottom of the cluster display - not in the centre. It appears regardless of whatever menu option you have chosen to display.
You need to be in Drive or Reverse not Park. You need the doors to be closed and have the handbrake off. The vehicle must have come to a complete halt prior to trying to engage Hold.
A quick "pulse" is the the best description I have seen on this thread so far. I found that it does not operate if you press slowly.

Best description yet :-)

Thanks very much for all the advice... I finally got it to work. I probably need a little practice to get it every time, but with the 'pulse' tip I had about an 80% success rate when playing on the drive. Good to know it works.

Thanks all.
