Service plans up in price

I think the 4th B service is more expensive than the 2nd B service as the transmission oil is also changed but someone else would have to confirm this as I could be talking nonsense by thinking about another make of car I was once interested in.

They chopped and changed the ATF change interval but I think it's 5yrs/75K miles now.

The only difference between the price of an indy over that of the main dealer should be the labour cost , providing the indy is using genuine parts and the service schedule requirements are followed to the letter.

Main dealer history will get you Mobilo , indy wont . Main dealer will will get you a courtesy car , most indy`s wont. A FDSH will always be worth more to the average buyer than an indy SH when moving the car on.

I was happy to stay within the MB group for my CLS servicing as the difference between the main / indy price was offset by the benefits listed in the previous paragraph.

You pay your money and takes your chances.

Probably does but it also covers overnight accommodation and a replacement car if required, very useful if you are away and it goes wrong

Ah I didn't know that! :thumb:

Yes, I found out on the weekend.
I bought a brand new Gle a few weeks back, and 4 yr plan was 35 a month now it's 39 a month. I will do about 6k a year and plan to keep the car for 6 yrs at least.
IMO not worth it and may just go along with the one of yearl payments and indy after three yrs. If the ATF was included then I would have taken the plan but on my car that is due yr 5 on the miles I am hoping to cover, so not worth the bother.

My previous 2 Mb's both bought a year old, first couple via MB then just oil changes, all went well. Had the front discs and pads done at fixed price but it was Indy once and Halfords - ie oil change, rear brakes, drop links, and I think gator cover - the c class I had for almost 8 yrs 58k on the clock.
