Interested to see how some of you have done this. In my Bimmers I used the Brodit Proclips, they work great and don't look too cumbersome. Sourcing a Brodit for the W203 is proving a little more tricky, and to be honest I'm not keen on where they are designed to be mounted.

So please post up pictures of yours and if you know where you can get them from

Sorry, don't have one! I simply Bluetooth phone to car and keep phone in pocket.

Works fine but would be nice to charge the phone while it's in the car.

That would normally be fine for me but I've decided to ditch my TomTom and start using Google Maps on my Andoid. I've also got 'Blackbox' recording on the phone. Both of which need the phone to be my eyeline / on the dash

I have a Samsung phone and use an original Samsung phone holder/charger - I find the original Samsung accessories in general to be very robust and made of high quality materials (and they are priced accordingly).

Thanks for that, for some reason I hadn't even thought of that. I'm really worried about getting something off Ebay that looks great but in fact is cheap, looks cheap and falls to bits after a week. Hence why i've always used the Brodit stuff which has been very good. Buying the official Samsung stuff is a good shout :thumb:

<off to Ebay to search Samsung holders>

My brother does this with his android phone, although I'm not sure if it's a Samsung.

Works OK but, after an hour or so, the phone is too hot to touch and starts to cut out. He has now positioned it in front of an air vent to provide some cooling!

I'm not too keen on these satnav/phone holders as I always think they are a visible attraction to the scumbags

Works well for me!

Magnetic phone holder .

Excuse my ignorance , but does that small thin pad get stuck to the phone ?

Also , will the magnetism not damage the data or the phone ?

Yes you would attach the pad to your phone, the pad isn't magnetic, just metal. The holder will have a magnet in it. I've used something similar for a couple of years and haven't had any problems with the phone - good point though
