SL 350 R230 Centre vents blow cold air constantly

Hi Folks,

My wifes Sl350 r230 blows constant cold air from the dash centre vents, Tried all manner of settings etc to no avail, the open close wheels do not make any difference either, this is a real pain in winter as the car takes ages to heat up inside with the additional cold air blasting in.
Any help/advice really appreciated

What year is the car?
Do you have air con?
What is the engine temperature after a 5 miles drive?
Some have cold air only from the centre vents.

do the footwell vents blow warm ok?

Some actuator (opens and close the various flaps to route the air around) or sensor has failed (or you have pressed the button on the centre vents that makes them blow cold air (it lights up blue, so unlikely you have done that !! and not all have the buttons)

The only real way of working this out is to put it on Star Diagnosis, read the faults, and test the actuators. I'd suggest going to see Ollie at PCS or Alfie at comand.co.uk
