SL60 - anybody know this car?

The '96-on SL60s didn't have the plastic covers.

Really?....it appears from the photos that the recess for the covers to clip onto is there. I'm sure they had covers right to the very end on the M119 engine.

Pre '96 ones had them.
eg..

Post '96 used a different ignition system hence no covers.

Actually the ignition system was changed in 1995 to be distributor-less and use coil packs instead.

Well I used to think that but I've been going through wiring diagrams for the ME-SFI ignition for another problem and it appears the SL60 took the M119 changes from 08/95 onwards - at least on European models, not USA or Jersey.

Well, well, I submit and accept defeat....still looks better with the covers....LOL
