slk 350 road tax bracket????

Hi All,
About to buy my first slk but am getting a bit confused as i want either a 3litre or 3.5 litre. but when i look at different car sites some of the 350's are in the £480 bracket and some are £280 can anyone give me some advice as i don't want to go buy one then find that the garage has advertised it wrong.

Being a 350, 320 or 270 etc doesnt relate to the engine size.
Road tax on post 2001 cars is based on the emissions.
you can check these on the DVLA website if you enter the registration.
alternately as the garage to show you the V5

And 23rd March 2006.. Up to then, the max tax bracket was band K (£280) post that date, bands L (£475) and M (£490) were added.

so all you need to know is the date of registration.
