SLK MOT Fail - Parts advice needed - Front tie bush

Hi,

Just had my SLK fail an MOT - reason given was

"Offside inner front drag link end ball joint has excessive play" (Tie Rod Bush)

Can anyone advice on what Part I need? and where to get it from, I am in London?

Directly from MB as I don't think these are available as a factor part. If it's just the bush should be relatively cheap - replacing track rod ends is a bit more expensive and best to get a geometry setup at the same time.

The drag link comes as a complete unit as shown here; http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...GM=717.460&CT=F&cat=45F&SID=46&SGR=120&SGN=06 .The ball joint described is part of this assembly and is not available separately.
Try http://www.eurocarparts.co.uk/ as they do stock drag links for other models.

Thanks, got the drag link for 130.00 from Euro parts. Another 210 pounds to have it fitted and then tracked!

Can't wait to see the end of this SLK now.

How much are you hoping to sell it for? Now you've done all the work it might be a bargain
