Hi all, how do I adjust the hand brake on my 2005 SLK R171? Is the adjuster in the wheel hubs, or under the handbrake cover?

The hand brake when pulled up to its limit on my 2005 slk is not holding the car ,rolling back ,
I returned to the dealer who fitted new pads , and said they would need some bedding in and to park in gear !! Have run the car for a few days now and it's still not holding
Any ideas , dealership is miles away . Is this a common problem
