OK, my kleemann headers will be fitted on the SLK55 in the next couple of weeks.

Has anyone had this mod done? If so any feedback please?

I'm very much looking forward to having them fitted and taking the car to Santa pod next year to beat my 12.6sec time from last time.

I'm hoping it doesn't sound too load, front 2 cats will be going, leaving only the secondary cats.

I'll report back once they are fitted, in the meantime if anyone has any feedback then I'd love to hear it, ta.

Joe.

I know a guy in Mayfield, East Sussex and he is a kleeman specialist. If you want his details, I can let you have them.

you must have a big soft spot for this car as you still have some interest in it after your two recent purchases :D

It's different to the 911, can't compare... I still love it, it's special, I don't think I'll ever sell it. But I said that about my c55 too...... :D

Looking forward to hearing about your results!! :thumb:

Cheers mate, I'm not sure what to expect but feedback from the one or two who have already done this mod seems good...

Hey Joe, should sound good!

Best of luck with your headers and their fitment, but just to advise others who may follow onto the Kleemann bandwagon, they are not the force they were once were, inc a batch of headers that were being fitted later part of last year, and early this, it was being put out there that they were of poor quality, which was really disappointing given their previous reputation. From my information, so many other exhaust people have now caught up, and perhaps past the quality and gains to be had over the Kleemann headers.
I would say, I also have a set of the Kleemann headers on my own 55, but it never laid well with me, that they were primarily designed to be on a LHD car, consequently, part of the system had to be beaten to flat out the outlets pipe to get around the RHD steering rack, that cannot be good news in any bodies eyes, to escaping exhaust gases.
Hopefully things may have changed, but not holding my breath on this.:(

Hmmm, interesting, let's see how they turn out on mine - I'm looking forward to it.

I'll get as many pictures as possible.

What alternatives to the kleeman headers are there?

I'm guessing you could get custom made headers but I think it will cost allot more than the kleemann headers.

The kleemanns are £1600, fitted.

Bit of a change of heart from when you had the C55 eh mate. You didn't even wanna do the secondary cat del, now you doing main cats and headers, hehe.

Should sound fantastic, look forward to some vids.

Are you putting some H&R coilovers on the SLK?

I know, I know Paul, but C55 is perfect mate, was looking after it for you. ;)

I'm really looking forward for the kleemanns to be fitted, car is all booked and ready!

I've already fitted H&R coilovers on the SLK55, it was done by MSL.

Where are you getting yours done? Cheers Nick

PCS, Olly on the forum.

PCS quality and attention to detail is right up there.

My cars only ever goes to either PCS or MSL for these sorts of things.
