If I could afford it I would buy a Veyron and use it as my daily drive, I might have to emply somone to wipe the spit off it though.
To come back to the original post, it seems like a scheduled end of production for the SLR rather than it being 'killed off'. One of the magazines recently had pictures of a replacement with gull-wing doors that's supposed to be in the pipeline.
