I thought the gap between what I wrote and what I may have meant sufficient and not that appalling eitherway.

I have to say, I thought it would be taken with a snazy quip back from John. As much as I am a little taken aback that might not be the case, ultimately I didn't write it to upset anywone and it's simply not worth worrying about any of my pride to say sorry, if I have caused offense by crossing a line with a level of humour not to taste or too familiar, I appologise. Sincerely.

We are all individuals and ANYONE may take the mickey out of me.

I did not want this discussed publicly because I am very old fashioned and protective of my family. I do not consider it funny and I do not welcome light hearted jokes about it.

I would have preferred a communication via pm, but quite clearly this has not happened.

Insult me by all means, make jokes about me by all means.

BUT

NEVER, NEVER, EVER make jokes about ANY of my kith, kin or friends.

We are all different, we all have differing standards. Mine have been publicly exposed.

This has been an excellent, very helpful thread and I am saddened about how this has developed.
