Hi

After an excellent three and a half years both driving the Mercedes and browsing the forum I am moving on.

Have bought a Saab Aero convertible for several reasons, though none were because the Merc was :wallbash:.
Indeed driving to the dealers today in the Merc, I did have serious second thoughts

But life is too short, a convertible is on 'the bucket list', CLK convertibles were too much money to what Audi or Saab's are, so its change of badge time. (oh, and deals on convertibles are rather good now.....)

The seats in the Saab are amazing, (the switchgear isn't as great though), but it will tick the box and in some style.

At least I won't be as full of dread when the white stuff begins to fall this year:eek:

ADMINS- can you please close my account down from here. I don't seem to have the time to follow one forum (now Saab) let alone two, so I won't be on this again. A great forum though, has been very helpful, saved me money, and put a few smiles where they should be:rock:

PS parting shot - the Seqentronic gearbox on the C Class coupe (that I had) really wasn't that bad, in fact, rather good overall.......

Cheers

Fabes

Good bye hope the Saab lives up to your expections

I can confirm you have a good car there! I've had my Saab convertible for just over 2 trouble free years and it still gives me as much fun as it did the day I bought it. Enjoy!

Nice to meet you all that time ago!

And sorry your MOT took so long!

But won't you need to still be a member to go on this forum?

Enjoy your new car. :thumb:

Fabes you could be like me, 11 years in MB's. It's time for a change. When I do dget sorted I will still look in on here every now and then. Who knows whats around the corner, we might want to come back in the future.

Although it's very unlikely I'll be MB-less in the near future, even if I was, I'd still like to be able to pop in here and have a chin-wag! The love of MB brought us all together but hopefully other interests keep us friends... :)

I just joined and I have been a Saab owner for the last 15 years and now moved to Mercedes....good guys to know are BPV in Ely Ave, Slough.

Good Luck and happy motoring

Good luck with your new car,you will be back on here when you've part exed it for a clk cabriolet:D;)

Enjoy your SAAB - I worked there in Trollhatten MANY years ago.....before GM.
Had a 9-5 (ugly but loved it)....seats to die for.

Aren't they a wee bit prone to scuttle shake? Or did you find it ok?

 What! Have you experienced a Saab convertible? True, interior quality is not up to the same level as the CLK, but it's more spacious, faster (ours is the twin turbo) and in my opinion, has more character - and my wife loves it! :D

LOL! My Saab was new, so a bit more, yeah.. :D

Rather a 2nd hand 55 wouldent you?

You ever sat in a Saab's seats? Wup the ar*e of the MB offerings. Build quality isn't as good IMHO but the seats aaaahhh the seats.:D
