Hi,

Sorry, What I meant to say was my computer was displaying posts at 25 per second and I crashed

You've had a minor accident, no one was hurt and you're trying to make the best out of the resultant situation.

I have no problems with that but when I started to read this thread it was two pages long but continued to expand faster than I could read the posts. Hence my attempt at introducing some levity :bannana: :bannana:

By the way my processor is a 'two' stroke ;)

Cheers,

Thats ok, i saw the funny side of it...

Joby, looking at the pictures you have put up, it really doesnt look that bad, why dont you keep it, i bet you could get that repaired for around £2K, and maybe cheaper if you could find a second hand bumper..

Yep, that's exactly what I'd do. Wouldn't be too difficult by the look of it.
If you asked the repairer I'm sure you could get a copy of the estimate too. That would give you an idea of the work involved.
Then, as jaymanek says, second hand or better still, pattern parts. You would just need somebody to do some spraying for you.

Blackbeast, whatever you decide, I wish you good luck. You've taken a bit of a hammering on this thread but stuck with it with good humour. I certainly respect you for that.

Hey thanks guys! i will try and get that copy from the repairer too, I have been on the phone today asking when will they be paying the money out, and i also said i'd made a mistake on my deciesion the other day. I said i had spoke to a few people since and all have said i should'nt of took the first offer, i told them that i would be robbing my own back if i agree to the offer they offered, as i told them that i cant buy anouther one for no less that 9 thousand! so cut a longish story short ( and so i dont confuse anyone  lol ) the lady said she will contact the engineer again and tell them to reconsider my call, she said she'd get back to me today, but has'nt yet. Hopefully i might get a better offer again. fingers crossed but its not a deffornate.

Im going to have a go at selling it on Ebay first, but if any one wants it as it is, then offers are welcome on here too, remember its not that far of a complete car! My heart is set on this new one i have found local to me, the guy knows im interested in it and is setting his side of things going, as he's ordered a brand new Audi.

I never thought that this thread would of reached to this amount of page's/posts!

Thanks in advance

Joby.

I fully agree with that, Blackbeast has taken it all in good stride and has remained polite and constructive in his responses, even to those people who happen to disagree with him. Very nice to see that attitude, and much appreciated. :)

My oh my, I wished you lived a little further North. I would cream myself putting that straight. Its a V8 !! :D

i may have lost my rag ages ago with an accident like that, then again i have just witnessed an A4 car collide with an individual in tuebrook and smash the head through the windscreen so i am feeling a bit sick and woozy right now.

yeah they were all there happened about 100metres from the police station and about 150 metres from the ambulance station.
The person just ended up on the roadside lying there in front of the pelican crossing.
i was going out, felt so sick i went home and parked up.

"From experience, working in body repairs (i.e. not from an insurance company perspective) this isn't so. Engineers call into the repairer when there is a car to see. Once the car is established to be at a repairer and an estimate prepared, the ins co will send him there."

Direct Line call at my local Mercedes authorised repairer on Tuesdays and Thursdays - just an example :-). Now,whether they bother to do the rounds if there's nothing to inspect...I don't know...

to all...

Woh!
Thats heavy **** mate!! sorry to hear this! thats awfull.

It means that one could get rather excited at the prospect of rejuvenating such a wonderful auto mobile. :D:devil:

Deffornatley worth a good home to go to with the right owner, with the right tools and time on there hands and also a place to put it whilst being repaired, it would make someone VERY HAPPY!!
I am so gutted and upset as this car has no weird noises or anything that i can say is bad! thats honestly too! but then again the only thing i can say actually, is that the drivers seat has a problem squeezing you at the sides, you know the bolsters that move, but thats it!

Thanks,
