Someone has driven into my car, what to do?

harsh....didnt know that about trader policies, makes sense though i guess.

surely they won't write that off with that amount of damage ..... although my first GTR was written off because nissan "advised against repair" - was a bit gutted about that one.

I would be very surprised if they try to write it off, it still books at over 11k in Glasses accounting for mileage and spec.

I didn't know that about Trader policies either. I always wondered what the stitch up was for them as I'm sure there would be one...

I presume then that is trade but what is the age and mileage of yours?

They can also ask for proof of trading when a claim comes along...

That is the trade value of mine,63K miles 2004 on a 53 reg.

Trade makes no differance (not with ours anyway), procedure/payout is the same, we just have to give a more discount...

That sucks, I reckon £2k plus to get that sorted. I had a rear bumper replaced on my C and it cost the other chap £760. Nothing else was damaged.

I would report it and see if the Police can do anything.

Alps , i'm not saying that the bodyshop won't get it to match , i'm saying that if you bought a silver wing off another silver car and just bolted it on , it would be unlikely to match without some paintwork being done.

If it were the same silver and the car was machine polished afterwards you'd stand a good chance of it matching well.
