Speedtronic error and loss of power W211

Had a error come up on my 350 cdi yesterday:

Speedtronic - visit workshop!

Car lost power and wouldn't go over 60mph. Distronic inoperative as well. Pulled over, turned off and restarted and every thing returned to normal.

Any ideas before I take it to the stealers?

Carry on as normal if it happens again then visit the dealer.

I'd do the opposite - get the dealer to investigate while it's under warranty in case it does it in a bad situation next time.

If it has warranty id have gone asap.

EDIT - I see it's a 2003 E320 CDI, not a 350, hence no warranty, however, I'd still get it done.

Have the brake light switch checked. It caused a bunch of problems in my car.

Yes, had the brake light switch replaced a while back by dealer who sold the car. was replaced with pattern part and caused a service brake - visit workshop error. Brake swith replaced with MB part and no further trouble.
