stage 3 weistec for sale so soon

It is when you are trying to make the kind of progress I often made in the E55 i.e. testing it out on the 1/4er outside MSL in the soaking rain... :)

:bannana:

If you aren't going to do that, there's no point in having it!

Yes, even at 2070kg, I notice the extra 235kg over the E55. Not agile enough for me.

My cars are driven at they should ;-)

Craigs old car was a monster but the problem with c63 is and that includes mine its a big heavy car and as such is not able to cut it with the big boys
as far as i can remember i love my car but i do see its limitations

Heavy compared to what?

1700KG isn't really that heavy these days, hell a Ford Focus weighs 1600KG.

Exactly. Think Nissan GT-R, approx 1850kgs and 500 odd bhp. F10 M5, around 2t and just short of 600bhp. E63 biturbo same.

A mapped C63 can play with many special cars !(if it's dry:bannana:)

Yeah. Surely its the traction that holds it back rather than the weight. Even say a 911 Turbo is around 1600KG these days isn't it.

I know Craig spent a lot of money on the mods but at that price there are others cars I would spend that amount of money on.

Don't get me wrong. I think the car is a great looking car with a fantastic amount of mods but it's just not worth the money to me. I'm surprised it sold for that amount in the first place. I expected him to have to start putting it back to standard and sell off the goodies to make his money.

Not that I wouldn't want to do the same mods on mine if I had the money because to me that's where the fun is. Not to just buy one with it all done.

I'd rather buy the car done actually! You make a significant saving over doing the mods yourself and I don't really enjoy the mod process although saying that, I did enjoy hanging around MSLP all day and testing the car once a mod was done!

felt has hit the nail on the head
i have spent a fair sum on mine and tbh its dead money, your resale market is slashed and most struggle to recoup a fraction of their outlay
Not sure what craigs sold for tbh but i dont expect it to sell again quickly as the most obv thing that will go through a purtchaser mind is why so soon
is there a issue lurking etc time will tell but same as mine would be not an easy car to sell and yes the amount i have spent i prob would have gone for a modded gtr as a 700bhp gtr is a fearsome weapon that really can rock and roll

What would you differently and how? Unless you go complete bespoke with your build (even more money), I cannot see how one would build a different car to Craig's. He hasn't cut corners with his build and went with the best that was available at the time. Easy to say, I'd do different until you're actually doing it and realise if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

He certainly went the best route......copied mine LOL

Think you miss read my post. I didn't say anything about doing anything different?

Bwahahaha! Sorry buddy, I read "would want" instead of "wouldn't" and made a complete fool out of myself. Will teach me to read better next time (hopefully). Thanks for your calm response :D:doh::thumb:

But surely its the same for most cars. Spending 50k of mods on a 30k car doesn't make it a 80k car.

If you did the same to a GTR it would end up the same.

What broken?
Everyone knows any Nissan GT-R over 650hp is extremely unreliable...

what i meant was for the money i have spent i would have gone for a ready modded gtr by svm or litchfield and prob have spent less and had less stress related to the process

Modding a car is a personnel thing and takes time and money ,not just ticking a box on a manufacturers build sheet.
Cost and final values don't really matter when your in the process the car grows with you and the end result is your car not like any other Amg,Gtr etc that's on the road.
Buying an already modded car would be a no no for me. You need to know the ins and outs of all the mods carried out imo.
Must say though it's a very frustrating process at times but the end result is worth it :)

When/if I sell mine it will be sold as is, all mods intact.

The main reason is that it would be a nightmare to put back to standard again, though my target market wouldn't want that anyway. The car is what it is and I've already had a few tentative offers from people who know it. I've obviously limited my market by changing things, but I knew that when I was doing it.

Craig did the same thing with his really. Got the best of everything, spent ages modding bits and pieces, but then decided that he wanted to move the goalposts and got the Beetle.

I'll be sticking with Mercedes but the next one will hopefully be something a bit more subtle. Or not...

I've no idea why Waq is selling now, though he does change cars often, so possibly just a boredom thing. Still a good car though, albeit overpriced IMHO...

You funny guys! Making assumptions behind my back Somebody told me Forum dudes were a bit **** like that

However yes it is Craig's old Beast and drives even better now! I am a close friend of Acids at MSL who built it and was recommended to buy it by him. It is absolutely perfect in everyway! Acid has just put a brand new supercharger belt, pulley and supercharger cooler pump on it for me! It gets more pampering than what it needs!!! Any questions, feel free to ask! I am a trader and change my car every few months, unlike some guys on here who keep the same car for years .

Cheers

Thanks for having my back mate, whilst these guys talking making assumptions! The car is Amazing and I am in no rush to sell! And like you said I have a few toys I keep and change every year!

I have edited the Ad also so I don't upset anyone on here

Nowt wrong with that !
