Stolen C63

The DVLA will have been advised of the theft, therefore if the car is not recovered, the plate will not be eligible for retention for 12 month from the date of the theft. The plate is always the property of the DVLA...

Bet if you try to do it online it will work!

Step up your security, don't downgrade your car!

If it is a gang of determined , professional thieves it doesn't much matter what security you have - if they want it they will get it - if that means putting a knife to your wife/daughter/mothers throat then so be it and unless you're Steven Seagall it is best to just hand over the keys and let them go .

The best thing is just not to replace immediately with another nice car so as not to invite a return visit .

Well I was being called 'Edward' yesterday .... Wonder what tomorrow will bring ? :)

Fair play to you Pontoneer you do take the banter in good faith.

Trackers are useless for professional gangs. Just something insurers ask for to reduce risk from amateur thieves.

No need to leave it parked it around - that's old skool. They are just jammed or disabled by thieves now. Then straight into a container. The reality is that these types of cars are stolen to order. Lots of shysters desire but can't afford one by honest means.

Having said that, I hope there's a positive outcome for the OP.

Earlier my 7 year old grandson asked me what "Feck me" is, I told him it's a spelling mistake, he meant to say heck.......lol

You get the certificate number straight away and if you have another vehicle with your name on the v5 you can allocate it to that car at the same time. It also tells you the age related plate.

Thanks everyone for your posts.
Actually I am a lady...so though all for feminism...having 4 blokes break into a house...it's scaring the men I know as well.

My Dad is very upset, I have moved back home for now. Just had moved into my home and was looking into security but as I moved only around the corner in the same town...I thought I was OK.

I work damn hard and deserve a C63 but they don't make this model anymore and also after what happened I don't want to downgrade but safety first.

A guy messaged me on FB and said he is selling his Audi R8 as he is scared after what happened to me.

My house is damaged but that can be fixed. Yes I have anxiety but there are worse crimes to be a victim off.

Originally I posted in case car was seen...but now just want everyone to please be careful and let them take the car...don't let them hurt you. My mechanic has the same car and is afraid in case his house is broken into with his wife and child at home. He said we don't want the cars back after they have messed around with them.

Plates...well, I think it is a year but well...in the scheme of things...

I have learned a lot in the past few days. Yes I want my beautiful car but with bloody criminals watching me ( I am actually a paranoid person by nature and super careful) I didn't notice anything and actually don't have a 'daily' routine.

Plus this was broad daylight on a Saturday on a busy main road.

Thank you everyone I really appreciate the comments.

Just posted a bit more lengthy post...I the OP am a female by the way...and said to my Dad I don't want to drive a Hyundai :-(

Have a look at Samsung smart things, it's not an alarm but you can get it to do things like flash the house lights, turn on web cams etc. You set rules, so you could say that if a motion sensor is tripped between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday then turn on all the lights and record. Obviously you have to go to town with add on bits but you might get a picture of them.

I don't know if you can but if you put up the chassis number it might help someone avoid buying it. We occasionally buy them and love them, the r8 ... Give me a c63 any day.
