Suzzie, the CLK 500 so this happened

Thanks Peeps, for the kind comments,

I was in two minds whether to keep the Brabus centre caps, but decided it was a little to Ott seeing as the car is not a Brabus,

The wheels have Brabus cast into them and thought that was enough, i've kept the centre caps in a safe place though.

Performance tbh, The car really doesn't lend itself to a power increase, it is such a sedate drive i tend to potter around in her enjoying the burble from the v8.

Don't get me wrong she will shift with a prod of the throttle but is equally happy pottering using the engines torque, I've had the Supercharged m113 engine before and the n/a is simply best left untouched i think.

Remarkable she is also achieving around 23mpg on short trips which i was amazed by seeing 35mpg on a run.

That's better than my 320 V6! I might use this info with SWMBO as an argument to upgrade to a V8 CLK ;)

Did a little more today, osf arch this time.

All back together, I’m going to fit sport brakes on the front , 345 drilled as aposed to the normal vented ones like above.
Both front n Rear are worn out tbh.

So some more done this wkend, New Front brakes and whilst I was there also painted the callipers, this time keeping a reserved colour lol.
Going to source done “Mercedes Benz” decals next to finish it off.
345 drilled NK Sport brakes with Trw pads.
straight swap from the non drilled.

Got the car back after 2 Rear lower Rose bushes replaced and a Genuine rear Swaybar as the old one was corroded.
Totally transformed the handling well worth doing!
Gave her a machine polish today followed by a Megs Paste wax in prep for the drive to London Monday with the boy.

What a pretty car.

So the creaking came back from the rear , also notice she skip at the back end when going over rough roads so today I replaced these..

The OSR was shot and the nsr nor that much better.
Very easy job, and didn’t have to remove the rear coil springs either just kept a support jack under the rear wishbone then compressed old shock by hand and lifted it out.
replacement in reverse.
wow there ride has been totally transformed so much so I want todo the front now lol.

They might be on the list of to do’s for my CLK as well , did you have any difficulty with the rear boot lining and all the shocks and wires for the convertible roof ?

Looking better and better - I aspire to get ours like yours!
Is it relatively simple for a non-mechanical person? What are taking about cost wise? Thanks
