Have requested a qute online for a service plan....no reply.

Have requested a service plan call back....no reply.



I have just about had enough with them.

I need a B7 service in 50 days and that includes a auto box oil change. Do I trust a local indy? I just don't know.

I have had issues with them not calling back and replying to emails recently.

To be fair they are one of the cheapest for servicing. Swindon £900 v £1300 for Reading, same scope of work.

In the last year I have found Swindon to be incapable, incompetent and, well, ignorant.

I can handle the ignorant....at a push.

Conversely, over the last 10yrs I have found MB Swindon to be helpful, accommodating, polite and efficient. Not used them since the 2016 MoT and sadly won't be using them again in the foreseeable future.

Just hope Lexus Swindon are just as good, so far they have not disappointed

Not of any help I know .... but... sytner mercedes of teeside (Stockton on tees) are excellent!
Parts department guys are a pleasure to deal with and always extremely helpful. I have found myself there allot recently.

I think all of the Sytner dealers in the North East are quite good. I use Sunderland and so far they have been great. We must be lucky up here!

Interesting to get a few positives for MB Teesside. I found them unhelpful and a rip off, saying things needed changing that didn't. The two garages I've spoke to recently gave a knowing snigger when I said 'MB Teesside said 'x,y,z' needs doing' (the snigger obviously implying that nothing needed doing').

Bit further down the road but I've found Bath the be the best in the group, used them the other day and can not fault them.

Looks like it will probably be an inde. MB&B Independent Mercedes Specialists in Cheltenham. I visited for a chat and seemed quite knowledgeable apart from telling me all Mercedes leave the factory set up to scrub the inner edge of front tyres. And never heard of the bolts that can sort that etc.

I have a few weeks to decide do the one right thing...or the other right thing

Appears there is only a £75 difference between local indy and MB Cheltenham. OK, I will get need brakes, need new shocks all round, need new everything else from MB, but I can fight that off and just get the service done. Well, unless something absolutely does' need doing, that is.

Where I had my alignment done told me they always wear away the outside edges

Have to say I have found Sytner Teeside to be excellent. I have been using them for 5 years and am on my second car supplied and serviced by them. All of the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. And to date I have not had any recommendations for unnecessary disk/pad changes etc. that we hear about from other Dealers. Given that my first car was on 36,000 miles when I exchanged it, it would suggest that they are not as eager as some to get you to replace parts ahead of their natural life. Or I have just been lucky...
