I have removed the tax disc from my windscreen.
Have you?
If not, why not?

Yes.

It needed a few applications of WD40 though to loosen the tax disk holder's adhesive.

Haven't yet because I'm in the middle of the North Sea waiting for the first storm of the season to blow through, I probably will when I get home on Tuesday though.

Yes, although I was too busy on Wednesday, so it was Thursday eve, but it's gone now ... :)

Not yet, waiting for the Government U turn......

Tax Disc.

Yes I have removed it and what a PITA getting the adhesive off.

No; the screen would be naked without it.
The real reason is that I would be the one to encounter THE Probationary Constable who hasn't managed to read all the memos but maintains a belief in their own superior knowledge and frankly, I can't be bothered arguing or educating at this stage.

Yip tax discs gone.... Big improvement.

Nope, I like it :D

If you're pulled by the police for anything, don't argue or 'educate'.

If you're right, as in this case, nothing's going to come of it, so quickest way is just to let him or her get on with it.

If you're wrong you'll hear about it later.

My windscreen is to be replaced so it will be removed by that process.

I have just received RAC cover renewal documents. Enclosed was a tax disc holder:dk:

They need to get rid of them somehow...

Why bother expending the time and energy removing the disks? Min will be forever displaying xx-xx-2015.

having said that, I saw one a week a go tat should be removed on safety grounds. it was placed in the centre f the passenger side of the windscreen.

Which part of the rule to place it 6" of the n/s of the windscreen edge do you think the driver didn't understand?

All of it...
