Some of you may recall that I inflicted a 9 inch scratch on my bonnet with a jet wash hose. Today I took my car to KDS Keltec to have the scratch removed and er ... we got carried away! The car is now quite shiny having been finished in G Tech.

A big thank you to Kelly and the gang for an enthusiastic and great job:bannana:

The best bit was the price. How much do you think it cost to have the car professionally washed with proper detailing products, wheels properly cleaned, car dried, bonnet scratches (2) polished out and the the whole car treated with G Technic 1.5 ????

Are they a normal body shop?

I had the Q7 mopped, scratches removed and two coats of AutoGlym HD wax applied all for £80 which I was happy to pay, so £54 is a bargain!

They offer a valet menu and a correction menu. If you want every single blemish removed and the car given long term protection then you need to get into more serious money but if you want valet work and, like me, a specific area treated and the car sealed they did it as a valet. Obviously I'm chuffed to bits to have had the car properly fixed and treated. I'll be going back!

Kelly is a top detailer & a great guy! But by the looks of it his team done the work? Either way a hell of a lot cheaper then the local wash to do the same. Who we all know would destroy the car. Are you talking about silo v2?

No not at all. The level 2 valet is £54 and I swapped having the interior done for having my scratch done. My thanks was sincere not a quid pro quo!

KDS are based in Gillingham, Kent next door to Lepsons. They have their own website where you can see my car before and after pictures !
