The New E55k Estate

It will end up having cost me £11K, with virtually all the likely routine maintenance/repair items newly-done when you take into account the service history, and £12K when the bodywork is sorted; that's not as bad as I expected at one point. An AMG is all about the engine, and the 55K engine is a great motor; worth every penny.

Running costs? Sadly, high-end cars have high-end running costs even when they get old...

Glad it's resolved in a nice way. I don't think 11k is too bad for a what will be well sorted mechanically wise, rare coloured Estate with decent options.

As far as running costs are concerned, I don't find then really bad. Nothing that would shock you from a performance car.

Of course there are the shockers that come along ie new SBC / shocks needed. But as said they are worth 80k new and at the 55k's are things are gonna need replacing sooner rather than later.
