For crikeys sake Bonzo, it was all staged. It was comedy designed to appeal to the majority. Hasn't it clicked yet that everything was set-up, the cars, (one Cadillac, one muscle car and one pick-up truck) the writing on them and then the filling station? I am positive researchers were asked to find the most offensive words that would get a reaction from a very specific filling station manned by this very volatile owner. I should imagine the insurance company demanded Clarkson et al, were removed from the scene as quickly as possible. Top Gear is renowned for being anti political correctness, they encourage complaints simply to get viewing numbers up.
Hopefully no one is getting on at you, we all respect you, but your criticising a comedy by thinking it was real.
As far as I was aware the cars were not SOLD in New Orleans, they were given away, and again as part of the comedy we are told 'someone' tried to sue Clarkson for misrepresentation of a gift! Again good comedy taking the mickey out of the alleged US litigation culture.
It was ALL make believe.
Take care and please don't watch it if you don't like it,

think of your blood pressure

John
