turbo effect is gon until car "restarted"

It's not going to light the rear wheels anyway with a 250 turbo but as the MAP is instrumental in controlling fuelling that will in turn reduce boost pressure as the turbo doesn't have enough expanded gas to work with.

I really doubt it's the temp sensor, unless broken they never fail.

so i should hope that i wil have some diesel fuel smoke after i put a new map sensor on ? i hope it will change that defueling mode :) but first, i ask from my mbclub guys from lithuania to borrow me a map sensor for a few hours and i will see then :)

also strange thing, originaly i have 011 542 07 17 coded map sensor from Denso made in Japan, in the car part shop i asked they give me othe company but with the same code, shoul i trust the other company produc ? cause now i dont see any denso map sensors available :)

i dont think there is a chance to get denso or bocsh that i ever wonder if it makes merc map sensors ;) by the code u can find only few on internet, but no denso or bosch... i have no choise here ..

Hi people :) very nice topic you have now :) for egz. for my W202 2.5 TD
i found min. 3 scheme of vacuum connection with EGR :)

and i hope that I have the same :)

EGR disconnect

Olegosun,

Disconnecting the vacuum hose to the EGR (in your picture) [put a golf ball
"T" in the open line] may tell the EDS (Electronic Diesel System) brain that
you have disconnected and the EDS may disable your Turbo "Boost".
Try it and see.
If you still have "Boost" (1 bar/14.+ PSI) with the EGR disabled you're good!

Thnks.
so I connect back my vacuum hose to EGR and drive whith anable EGR , i think it will be better than disabled ;)

No. Just block the tube with a ball bearing or similar obstruction to disable the EGR, don't just disconnect the pipe.

today finaly i found in a used car parts shop a map sensor from DENSO, replaced, but now it evening.. in the evening its always good power :) so i dont feel much deference, at low rpm it feels exactly the same (should map sensor ad some fuel when it senses vacuum ? ) i think i will buy and mount a boost gauge, it will help me to see whats happening there. But still, adding resistance even 3kohm to IAT sensor makes a LOT of difference at low rpm, i can change gears at lower rpm, i can easily get smoke after turbolag is finished with 2nd or 3rd gear :D last time i was driving like 70%highway 30% city i had 7.3litres/100km in 730km ~52litres. i Still bother, how the car should be so slow at the low rpm, if it could be faster, via richening the air/fuel ratio. The question is still, does map sensor richens fuel mixture at low rpm when sensing the vacuum.? so then it would be next question: how to make map sensor more sensitive to the presure changes via some eletronics? i could not found some turbo diesel map mod :D only for petrol D:

p.s. where is Dieselman ? :D

back to the old thread :) i wont give up on my merc :D what i found today it was very interesting, actualy i was happy that i found something wrong atleast in 1year :D i was in limp mode and i was happy :D just another day i was driving back from town, engine was 80C, i have stoped and decided to test if there is some smoke, start to rev up, and.. it wont rev more than 3500rpm, so this is limp mode, and it must to write some errors to oBC :) so i will go for a diagnostics, monday. So can this be EGR valve related ? i have turned that off bypassing with vacuum pipes. after i get codes readed i will think then what could be done/cheked more, cause i tried all dammn posible fixes :D from arround the world.

Now i have got codes readed (but still i need to repeat diagnosis, cause i had played abit with sensors along :D) IAT and MAP, but i found some codes that I cannot explain whats is wrong. so here is what i got:
B1231 ECT sensor (B11/4)
B1419 Electromagnetic clutch (A9k1)
B1040
B1041 those are from dashboard, something telling about undervoltage.
P0105 is MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) or BARO (Barometric pressure) circuit malfunction. this one i was playing a bit with diodes. :)
P1630 Drive Authorization Signal this one i suppose could be some random fail of IR key. Futher diagnoses tells everything is ok about it.
p1481 is a Mercedes Benz Glow plug failure
P1470 is known as boost pressure control problems :)
P1482 Preglow Control Module (N14/2)
P0110 is intake temp sensor also i played alot with it.
so now is just to drive for couple of days, (hard) and see what codes will be still.
