The new vents, along with the fans and ducts needed for the retrofit are included in the retrofit kit sold by comand online. Richard, thank you for your input. Do you know whether the front radio cover is available separately? My trim is apparently a dark grey, rather than almost black.

Regarding the fans you speak about, does the unit not have an internal fan? I take it the vents need changing too for the push button version? Is that part of the cooling upgrade?

I think all of the main control units are the same colour. There is an external fan setup that *must* be installed which blows air into front side/bottom of COMAND.
Yes, you change the vents and there is an additional switch (to open the display) between the 2 vents & theres some new wiring to power the fans etc.

Hi friends, I have C250 with UMI Nav. 2 installed, for some period I am not been able to switch to USB port, it only goes to disc , can’t switch to other ports like USB port.

We now see a fair amount of broken Nav-20s. We have a very limited set of spares (i.e one complete set!) for the 1st gen Nav-20 that works on the W204 only (i.e the one that has the connectors hanging out of the light)

The spares for the 2nd gen are even harder (which has the connectors coming out of a rectangular grommet), and if you can get a CPU it comes without maps so you then need to get maps too.

Even the special GPS/FM antenna is no longer available.

It is possible your NAV-20 has got confused and forgotten its meant to support iPod/USB/Aux (or perhaps the connector has fallen out!)

If near lightwater, pop in for some diagnosis !!

UMI Navigation 20 Update 2015/2016

Just purchased the latest update USB stick Navigation 20 2015/2016 or Europe for the UMI Sat Nav on my 2010 C Class. My maps dated back to 2010 so when traveling Europe, in particular Spain, you spend a lot of time off road, in particular Santander and Bilbao ferry ports are almost impossible to navigate from and back too. I was surprised last week to see the update being advertised, anyway £200 later and about 4 hours of updating the maps should now be up to date although it will be sometime next year before I can test it out in Spain. The instruction says it’s suitable for C-Klass 03/07-03/11, CLS 01/11-07/11, E Klass cabriolet 11/09-07/11, E Klass Coupe 05/09-07/11, E Class Limo 03/09-07/11, E Klass T-Model 11/09-0711 & GLK Class

OK an old thread but I have a pre-FL W204 Elegance with a standard Audio20. Can I retrofit UMI to have satnav or do I need Comand NTG4?

You can retrofit UMI - Talk to Alfie ([email protected]) - I think we have a UMI in stock (and the benefit of UMI is you get an iPod interface built in).
