Unbelievable !!!

The fee for my 6.2 v8 is £0.00
You must have the eco 6.2 litre V8. Citizen Khan also favours the eco V8 Range Rover as his mode of transport around his 'green' fiefdom.

Just imagine the uproar from important people if he banned hypercars from driving around London.

Sadiq Khan's electoral 'base' isn't quite the people who drive hypercars around London... he was the (Labour) MP for Tooting before becoming Mayor.

Khan has been London Mayor for over 5 years now so i assume he fully approves of hypercars driven by important people polluting indiscriminately. If he was serious about anthropogenic climate change he would not allow hypercars or valuable classic cars anywhere in his fiefdom.

and to all those millions that may decide to cross the channel. In their own language to be fair to them.

Happy days for you.
I thought one of ours was, the 2012 1.8 petrol Civic. No letter but the pretty well known TFL websites says not.
Mind, like anyone could do I checked.
Now I've the aggro to hope they will put that right.
Why not it should be ?

From TfL:

'London residents aged 16+ make 4.6m car driver trips and 1.4m car passenger trips on an average day, of which 3.7m are within London, with the remainder involving travel to and from London. Non-residents make around 1 million car journeys a day to, from or within London.'

How many 'hypercars driven by important people' are there, in comparison? Whatever contribution they make to poor air quality will be a drop in the ocean.

They are loud (in more ways than one) and do annoy the Socialists, but any action taken against them will be purely for political reasons - to 'satisfy the crowd' - rather than for making any tangible difference to air quality in London.

Perhaps your right. Best not to rock the boat. Party donors are not easy to come by.

Do many Gulf-country Royals make donations to the Labour Party? Possibly, I wouldn't know.

After checking the TFL website they want £15 a day for my 32, or rising to £17.50 if I pay within three days.
So there's a rising scale of charges depending on what your driving ? I couldn't see a table on their page.

Perhaps I'll just stay here, in the sticks :)

So the Gulf Royals who drive supercars around London are all members of the Fabian society? Is that it? It all comes together now :D
I thought most of the polluting tw*ts driving hypercars around London were Youtubers not fake sheiks as you claim. Live and learn.

Live and learn indeed.

I've just learned that members of the Fabian Society drive hypercars around London :thumb:

I really think that the only people that haven’t heard of it are those living on the moon.
Unfortunately not. My brother in law has a 2009 VW Golf diesel or some sort, he's about to get it back on the road after not driving it for 18 months (it's SRON'd) and was going to drive down to London to see family. I asked him if it was ULEZ compliant and he thought I making some sort of sexual reference! He's never heard of it and he lives 10 minutes outside BIRMINGHAM! They've got a clean air zone charge, which heard heard about.
When I asked my wife, she thought I was talking about the congestion charge.

That's only 2 people, so not particularly representative of the population at large, admittedly, but there's plenty of people that don't go down to London very often, don't have crap like congestion charge or ulez where they live and can't conceive that it exists in this country, so whilst sending so many letters is going to be expensive (anyone know how many non-ulez cars there are in the UK?) there's bound to be a flood of complaints from people that aren't aware, go to London, get hit with a charge and complain in the papers that no one told them in advance. They'd probably moan that the DVLA already have their details, so it would have been easy tp do :)

The DVLA had better notify people, when they register a car, what the ULEZ status of the car is, otherwise this exercise will be a bigger waste of money.
