Hi All,
Just a question if anyone can help. Recently had my gearbox out and refurbished with Torque Convertor done at the same time £2200 but difference in the drive was fantastic. However I now have a vibration and low rumbling sound when I am coasting at lowish speeds 30 to 40 mph or in slow traffic. I am thinking it's not wheel bearings, but more like the Propshaft. I know at one time many years ago, propshafts actually had balance weights on them. However could this be a propshaft bearing? as obviously with the gearbox being taken out, it would need the propshaft to be removed to do it. Any ideas gents, thanks

The way in which i was taught was to mark a propshaft before removal to ensure it goes back on the way it came off.

i would bring it back to them check asap - thats alot of money for a repair so they should entertain you and at least do a spanner check of the coupling and a road test to experience the complaint.

Yes I have taken the car back and they think it could be the Torque convertor, they are going to look at it next week, will post back with result, so thanks for your input, much appreciated:
