Vito Sport compact the wait is over

When I built one online when I was deciding what to buy, I included DSG and four wheel drive I think which, when VAT was added, brought it pretty close to £50k.

Ah ok. It will be interesting to see what the new Vito 'Sport X' (or equivalent) comes in at. A base spec 119 'crew van' Long is listed at £27k, but that's ex-factory excluding VAT. So around £33k OTR incl. VAT I think.

theres no van coming even close to yours mate good choice I wish I bought the V6 model!

I have a family member in vw commercial sales, let me know if he can be of any help.

Had our 113 in for service yesterday, took a new vito out on a test drive, the dashboard is hideous, its terrible. Quite like the outside but hate the inside. Certainly will not be swapping either of our vans for the new vito in the near future. If was to swop the sport x might have to go for for the v class with the different dash, would play hell with the tax bill though.

now this is nice

went to car dealership today regarding our W205 AMG
saw the new V class 250 model Wow very nice dash front end etc looked like a W205 in cockpit very nice :bannana:
hoping the new Sport van(when it lands) has same dash and not the plastic cheap looking thing that is out at the moment on standard vans

Asked the question about different dash, told all vito's will have crap dash, apparently there is some silver bits that can be added, a bit dissapointing, I asked dealers for a price similar spec to what we have on our 113, admittedly loads of options, but otr price was 33k, dread to think what an equivalent
to the Sport x will be. Quite like the outside and the v class inside, but that dash in the vito looks so so cheap

From what I have seen from various comparisons, the figures for remap and tuning box are about the same…270/275bhp and 530/540ft-lbs. Of course, with a remap, you could opt for more power and less economy rather than a balance.

After much deliberation I took my 122 to the local Celtic tuning workshop, 1.5 hrs later they gave me the keys back for a 'test drive'.
The re-map has lifted the power into new territory, fuel economy not really effected, Celtic claim 275 bhp & Torque up to 385ftlbs:thumb:

The best £300 I've spent:rock:

Are you planning to keep the van long term? If you are I'd be interested to hear in 2-3 years time whether you've had any issues emerge. IIRC there was someone posting recently about being on their 3rd turbo with some other problems too, and that had been remapped.

:DYes Bill , it is a long term keeper, I'm not one to worry about may or might happen but one who enjoys the extra power as & when I need it:D
