I am not to sure how long this has be going on ,l thing my driving seat is lowering itself automatically . l have made it a habit to pull on the lever to raise the seat when lm on it ,and it always needs to be raised. Is this standard . Has any body experienced similar . ?

You could well be right. Would swear it happens with the Viano over time. Haven't even considered it a problem until reading your post just something to put up with.

the van came with a 200,000km / 3 year factory warranty so l have 4 months left....lm calling the dealer.

I have had 4 639 vitos and now the viano, they all do it over time, a couple of weeks and it needs a pump or two.

Bit untimely reply,
still I've only had my vito just over a month.
Yes mine if anything is worse.
I don't spent all day in it, yet every morning i get 1,2 pumps from the lever.

Not worried about it as my renault laguna car has always been the same (just not so bad)

Dont know if the model of seat makes any difference, I've the very basic seat with no armrest or front adjust knob.

Comfort front seat in ours (with lumbar support) - had it 7 years and never noticed it drop.

How high do you have it?
I pump mine high and its a few weeks before I notice its gone down, not all the way but its dropped a bit.
