I had some crappy JVC tape radio on my W124, which wasn't even working, so decided to remove that and put a nice Pionner CD receiver.

The problem is that the JVC was connected by a completely different plug, and it's obvious that I need some kind of adapter, but don't know which one?

Here's the plug on the car:

And here's the plug on the Pioneer (on the left):

Now how the hell do I get it connected?

Thanks in advance

right -
looks like a BIG JOB :p
the easiest way is to unscrew the jvc plug from that big connector
you may just cut the wires by your new - double euro plug
replace wires one by one
most important are:
black (-)
red- ignition (+)
yellow- battery (+)
all doubles white/grey/green/blue/ one is with black mark, one without
just replace one by one not to mix them ;)
GOOD LUCK :thumb:

Thanks for the reply mate.

OMG, it is indeed a big job. Not sure if I could do that all myself

Is there any way I could keep the double euro plug and somehow get it connected? I would like to keep it simple for future car audio swaps, in case if I wanted to.

YES, of course you can keep europlug,
just go tomorrow to halfords and buy europlug female sockets with wires
and yes it is very easy - look just unscrew one wire by one from this big connector and replace it with female europlug!
then you have another small connector - replace wires one by one
when you buy them tomorrow compare them and you will see colours of wires are the same!!!
there is one "harder" bit - you have one blue wire as I can see it is remote for something extra maybe somebody had a cd-changer or amplifier or aerial amplifier - you have to cut off wire strip it from isolation to bare wire about 0.5 inch and one from new plug the same and put them together and isolate them with isolating tape or heatshrink.
easy believe me :)

Just wanted to say MASSIVE thank you to MrBlubo, as I've connected everything today and it works perfect!

THANK YOU! :)
