First a belated happy new year to you all.

While you lot were having all that snow we have had monsoon like weather here and the car got left out in it for 3 or 4 days as we had a garage full of other stuff. Anyway, drove it for the first time for a while on Saturday and immediately me and the wife got a shower from the sunroof edges:eek:. Of course it then travelled all over the roof lining making the back seats wet as well . My assumption at this stage is that the drain tube(s) must be blocked. I can see a tube exiting through the right hand side of the rear axle but nothing on the left. Is or rather are there 2 drain tubes or just the one?
Is the hole visible from the sunroof opening or do I need to strip the headlining to get at it?

The left hand well of the boot is wet but that may well be unrelated to the sunroof issue, although that is where the sunroof motor is located. As stated in previous threads that could be the aerial or a boot seal leak, there is absolutely no corrosion on any of the bodywork by the way, although there may be if I don't find the leak soon :wallbash: .

Thanks as always in advance.

There are drain tubes at all four corners of the sunroof .

What usually happens is the corners of the metal cassette rust and the metal pipes over which the rubber tubes fit just rot away . The proper solution is to take down the headlining , remove the cassette and either repair by welding or replace with a better one .

OK the cassette all looks fine and no signs of corrosion but I'll give it a closer inspection later and report back , I am hoping to find some muck trapped in one or more of the drain holes.
Thanks again

Ade

There should also be drain holes in the bottom of the wells either side of the boot - you have to lift the lining to see them and they often get blocked by dirt from the road .
