Looking to get some bodywork done. I am based in Bedhampton, Hampshire. Looking for someone in the local area. Any suggestions?

I have a W126 300se which I need a few bits of body work repair. The main parts are the usual place of the front wings. (pictures below)

There are a few other minor bits but these are the main areas.

I may do the treatment myself of prepping it in which case I would only need it re-sprayed

Double check but I think you will find that they are expanding rapidly.....hopefully not too rapidly. I was chatting to the brothers at an MBOC karting event and brought up the subject of my rusting rear off side wing on my 735.....not done anything about it yet but they were prepared to ''take it on''.

Fair do's .

I've just never heard of anyone having bodywork done there , lots of trimming though.

Website doesn't show bodywork repairs either , but i guess if you have spoken to them , you would know better than I.

if those wings have already been repaired in the past , and have rusted through again , new ones might be a better bet .

The bumper chrome is scarily expensive , for what it is .

I have a used rust free wing if you're interested.

Sounds good. PM me with some details.

Replacement is probably the best for long term solution. I am thinking of selling the car, but it might get a better price if its done.

I use ERB Motors in Portsmouth. They do ALL my bodywork jobs and I am a fussy bugger.

Deffo worth replacing those front wings DG as the rust will only come back through after a short period of time. If you can get a pair of rust free replacement ones coat them in some anti corrosion wax (waxoyl or Dynax S50) to keep it at bay for that bit longer.

Just to clear this up its not d:class that do the bodywork its myself (Barry) at Multi-Tech brother of David at d:class.
We share the shame building and have a set up for both the trim and bodywork.

I have worked at Mercedes dealers (woking motors) and for Mercedes approved bodyshop for the last 10 or more now so am happy to help with any Mercedes bodywork questions.

I have a numbers of pictures i am happy to send people if you wish to see them (email me [email protected]) or you can contact me on 01483 550695

As we are not allowed free advertising plugs i best stop!!!;)
