Hi my drivers heated seat appears to be only heating my back and not the base.
Anyone had similar problem and is there any diy fix ?

Just noticed i should of posted this in "interior "
I took the seat apart tonight to see if I could see a broken wire but noticed the heating element is part of the seat cover itself and not a suck on element like other vehicles have.Did read on another merc forum that someone just fitted a generic heating element cut the plug off and soldered on the merc plug .Took a little longer to heat up as the heat has to make its way through the old one but worked ok . Cheaper than buying a complete leather seat base !
