W202 Wheel Question – Spacers / Size Needed

Back on subject... iv got my new wheels, and used the fitment caculator, if its correct the rears should stick out an extra 15mm...

Original = 225/40/18 on a 8.5J width and 35et
New = 255/35/18 on a 9.5J width and 35et

I want it flush with the arch, do you think I will need maybe 10mm spacer?

The black Mini above looks well. One of the reasons people buy wider wheels is to achieve that look. But, an easier, more cost effective way is to use spacers. But within reason...Carlos Fandango, was never a good look.

Hello,
I’ve been looking at spacers to bring the rim out to the arch on the back. Bring the wheel flush with the arch like the picture.

The wheels I have are 8.5J wide offset 35. Is it just a case of measuring from the rim to the arch or does any know what size spacer I should be looking for?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Essentially yes, measure from corner of tyre shoulder to inside of inner wheelarch. if you want to get an idea of the clearance with the assembly in a greater state of compression (ie wheel up inside arch), jack car up and lower that corner onto something suitable.
Be aware that not all tyres of quoted section width will actually be that width in practice. So if you later change tyre brands, be aware clearance may be different.
Any spacer above 20mm should really be the type that bolts to the hub.
