W203 Creaking drivers seat.

My drivers seat squeaks and creaks when going over bumps.

I have read on a forum from over the pond, its is caused by some springs from under the base drying out. And some PTFE spray etc will stop it.

Can anyone clarify this? Is it a seat out jobby, as I cant see any springs from the underneath?

My C Class has leather nd did the same, i worked out it was the plastic trim on the right side. by the seat adjusters, i used a window shammy and cured the problem.. and always have a shammy in the car

use the spray and see how you go, it's cheap and could well fix it

The rear of the seat base has springs that cause creaking. Plastic vs plastic. Remove the base and grease the contact points. Very common issue on 203's
