w203 srs light fault code B103D

hi i am new to this forum so i hope i am in the right place. the srs light has light up on my dash of my 03 plate c220 cdi sport coupe and says drive to workshop. i have had the code read by a indipendant who didnt really no what it ment, however the code is BD103D . and it says the resistance value in ignition circuit containing component R12/22 ( left rear window ignition squib ) is too high. any body had any experiance with this thank you.

R12/22 is the airbag above the left rear side window which protects occupants against a side roll-over.

Assuming yours is a saloon the connections etc are behind the panels where the parcel-shelf is by the rear window which cover the C pillar. (same place on Coupe but I can't describe it as-well!!)

It could be wiring fault, it could be an airbag fault. My suspicion is the latter as there is really no wiring that moves ever (like there is with doors and seats) so very little reason for wiring to fail. Sadly its a PITA to fix as it means taking out the headlining to get access to it.
